About me:

Come back with a warrant

About the site:

This is my first real, hosted online, visible site since I started learning html and css! I decided to learn html because of a tumblr post about neocities haha. I'm finding it to be a fun new hobby (that doesn't require any materials besides my computer), as well as a way to expand on my fairly basic computer skills. This is a place for me to experiment and mess around while I learn.

I've also found it difficult to commit to and stay engaged with any other social media or online presence in a way that feels active or creative (ie. not like just being a "user"). Plus I don't want to pour my time into something that ultimately doesn't belong to me. But I do like the thought of collecting, curating and organising thoughts, ideas, media, etc. that I find interesting in a way that's fun for other people to explore too. (I've seen some people call this digital gardening). Historically my journal has filled this gap for me, but with a website I can get a bit crazier with links and media and maybe even connect with other like minded folks :)

My tools:

At present the code for my site is written and edited entirely between TextEdit and Rstudio, which were both already on my computer when I started learning html/css. They do what I need them to do for now, but I suspect that I'll switch software for a quality of life upgrade sometime in the future.
